  • As a Designer for the Mac Mahon Student Center project, Christopher Reynolds played a pivotal role in shaping both the interior and exterior of this dynamic campus facility. His comprehensive approach ensured that the center would serve as a welcoming, functional, and inspiring space for students, blending thoughtful design with technical precision.

    Key Contributions:

    1. Designed Primary Interior Spaces: Christopher contributed to the design of the center’s primary interior spaces, including lounges, study areas, and communal spaces. His design created an inviting environment that balanced aesthetics with functionality, tailored to student needs and campus culture.

    2. Mechanical Systems Coordination: He closely coordinated with mechanical engineers to integrate HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems seamlessly into the design, ensuring the student center was both efficient and comfortable without compromising the architectural vision.

    3. Ceiling Design & RCP Coordination: Christopher designed all ceilings throughout the center, coordinating the reflected ceiling plans (RCPs) to integrate lighting, mechanical systems, and acoustics. His detailed approach ensured a cohesive design that enhanced the overall aesthetic and functionality of the spaces.

    4. Exterior Detailing: He played a critical role in the detailing of the building’s exterior, ensuring that the façade not only aligned with the campus’s architectural language but also met performance and sustainability standards.

    5. Kitchen Design & Coordination: Christopher designed the student center’s kitchen, working closely with kitchen consultants and contractors to ensure optimal layout, equipment integration, and functionality, providing both staff and students with an efficient, modern facility.

    6. Lighting Design & Coordination: He led the lighting design, selecting fixtures and coordinating with lighting consultants to ensure that the interior spaces were well-lit, energy-efficient, and aligned with the overall design vision.

    7. Product Selection & Detailing: Christopher selected finishes and materials, focusing on durability, sustainability, and aesthetic appeal. He meticulously detailed the integration of products to ensure a polished and cohesive result throughout the building.

    8. Produced Renderings: Christopher produced visual renderings for the project, clearly conveying the design intent to stakeholders.
